What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO helps websites achieve high positions in the "organic" (natural) search results. Organic results are those that come up in the search engines when people type in specific strings of words to find information about what it is they are searching for.

There are two primary kinds of SEO. One is on-site SEO (also called on-page SEO) which is using certain optimization techniques on the pages of your site.

The second type of SEO is the use of linking strategies to increase the number of backlinks coming in to your site. Search engines reward sites with good on site optimization. All things equal, the engines will give the nod to sites with the most (and highest quality) incoming links.

Why is SEO important?

  • Your website will achieve higher organic search engine results if your site is optimized well
  • If your site is not optimized, your site's changes of getting found online is significantly reduced
  • You will save time and money if you perform on site SEO at the time your site is developed

Who benefits from SEO services?

  • Anyone planning to develop and launch a website
  • Anyone with a site that does not have high organic search results

We find that many of our clients have misconceptions about SEO. Others have had negative experiences with other SEO "experts" and are apprehensive about working with a firm that offers SEO services.

What is included in our SEO services?

SEO services are generally divided into two componenets. One aspect is the initial analysis and resulting completion of on-site optimization. There is then typically a continuing SEO process where the process of maintaining on-site optimization occurs, along with the ongoing process of building quality in-bound links to your site. Examples of services provided in the two phases are provided below.

       Initial Analysis and Set-up

  • Initial client consultation
  • Keyword density and page structure audit
  • Page content recommendations
  • Current search engine rankings review
  • Current link popularity review
  • Detailed keyword/key phrase research and analysis for a specified number of keywords (usually 10 or more)
  • Title, description and keyword optimization for a predetermined number of website pages
  • Competitive keyword, ranking & linking analysis for primary competitor(s)
  • Summary report with final consultation

Ongoing Monthly Services
This is an example only. Each client's SEO plan is customized to meet their particular needs and budget.

  • Ongoing on-site build-out and optimization
  • Monitor progress and provide monthly ranking and linking reports
  • Link-building strategies selected to meet client goals. Activities may include such things as article writing and syndication, online press releases, video submission, blogging, bookmarking, securing inbound one-way links, or other selected activities deemed most appropriate for the client's goals and budget
  • Predetermined number of hours of consulting per month by phone or in person

What does SEO cost?

Fees for SEO services can vary significantly because our services are customized for each individual client.  While it would be possible to offer a "standard" package, that would be a disservice to any client we serve. Because no two clients are alike, no two SEO packages will be identical.
